The Cotton Foundations newest educational project - The Multi-Commodity Education Program - was launched in October when producers from the Midwest and Far West traveled to North Carolina. According to John Gibson, Director of Member Services for the National Cotton Council, the program was designed to facilitate the exchange of information between commodity producers.
The tour started at Cotton Incorporated’s headquarters in Cary, North Carolina where, Gibson says, participants got an in-depth orientation of the cotton research and promotion program.
Gibson says plans are already in the works for the next commodity producer exchange.
